Absolutely superb images throughout. My personal favourite being the Indian Nightjar in the clip at the end of the video. I shoot Canon namely the old 7D & just bought a used Canon 1DX for £299 British pounds off the auction site. I’m over the moon with the camera & hopefully one day I’ll manage to get an image or two like the one’s shown here,i have numerous L series lenses but the longest being the 70-300mm L F4-5.6 IS which just doesn’t give the reach in most scenarios so I’m actually about to purchase the 400mm L F5.6 which will hopefully help in regards to bringing the subject a little closer. Top video as always, favourite photography channel by far! Thanks for everything you do for us Duade.

Learning so much from this video!

  3. @Mk-qk5bw on October 29, 2024 at 9:03 pm

Just a question from a complete beginner… why no sony? just too expensive?

  4. @kitchil1 on October 29, 2024 at 9:03 pm

my main camera is a nikon d800 with the 200-500mm 5.6

  5. @pjdilip on October 29, 2024 at 9:04 pm

You are one of the most fluent, eloquent, and encouraging presenters, and I’m so happy a 400 5.6 goes so far 😅

  6. @cheriburau on October 29, 2024 at 9:08 pm

This video is so helpful! Thanks so much for breaking down the camera/lens kit by price. What would you recommend for a kit that is more lightweight in the $1000-$2000 range?

  7. @HichamDgadeg on October 29, 2024 at 9:10 pm

stupid question, but can someone use them to photograph the moon or the nigth sky, i am looking for a cheap camera with zoom that can me acheive that

  8. @giovanbattistazane9883 on October 29, 2024 at 9:13 pm

    Question:
I want to approach wildlife photography but it would be my first camera, i am attracted to canon eos r50 wich i found at a very good price, are there big reason to not go for it? Reason to never go mirrorless instead of dslr?

  9. @sennay9974 on October 29, 2024 at 9:14 pm

Hello, again a great video duade, my question is should i switch from an canon m50 to an 70d or 80d because i use the m50 with adapted ef-s lenses and i don‘t have ef-m lenses

  10. @VinterCR on October 29, 2024 at 9:15 pm

Hi! My GF has a Canon EOS 70D, she wants to give it to me so I can start taking bird photos 🙂 1.) Would you recommend this model? and 2.) What could be a great lens for me to buy for it (if its worth it)? Thanks in advance man! Loved the video.

  11. @Dylan-Vassar on October 29, 2024 at 9:15 pm

Just picked up a 1dx mark ii for $500. It’s missing some paint and has 350k actuations, but the sensor is great and all the buttons work. I have an R5 as well , but the 1dx is way more fun to shoot, and doesn’t eat up my hard drive.

  12. @pabloramirez7274 on October 29, 2024 at 9:15 pm

Hi, I’m from South America and I’d like to know which website you recommend for finding second-hand lenses, thanks

  13. @Jordyc23 on October 29, 2024 at 9:16 pm

Do you know any lenses that are 100$ and have good stability. I’m new to photography and I’m not sure if stability in a camera makes a huge difference. I saw a Nikon AF Nikkor 70-300mm f/4-5.6G for 109$ on MBP and it said it doesn’t have image stabilisation. I bought my Nikon d80 a couple days ago and want to shoot wildlife. I know the d80 is very old and isn’t the best but watching this video convinced me i can still shoot well. Do you think the lense is a good purchase?

  14. @tomgodzik8951 on October 29, 2024 at 9:19 pm

I just got a Nikon Z50 camera with the 50-250mm lens and I was blown away with the sharp pictures. I only shoot in JPEG because I don’t want to spend time editing. I also bought the Nikon 180-600mm lens new on eBay for $1600. Now it’s time to enjoy taking pictures. ❤❤❤ Top notch video. ❤❤❤

  15. @wadescougall1608 on October 29, 2024 at 9:19 pm

great video Duade. My wife and I are heading to Tanzania in August and I am taking her "hand me down" Canon 450D while she has a R10. Do you have any recommendations for a lens (happy to look at second hand to help the budget) for either camera?

  16. @lauralagesse9121 on October 29, 2024 at 9:21 pm

What lenses can I use with an M50 Mark ii. I am wanting a telephoto lens for wildlife photography but not sure which one to use

  17. @bluebowser3347 on October 29, 2024 at 9:24 pm

As someone that wants to get into bird photography, I don’t find a $500 camera a budget camera at all.

  18. @BrendanHarington on October 29, 2024 at 9:28 pm

The Nikon D500 paired with the Nikon 200-500mm lens is the best budget wildlife combo. I had the Tamron 150-600mm G2, very soft in low light wide open. Sold it for the 200-500 Nikon

  19. @Bitternov on October 29, 2024 at 9:29 pm

Beautiful presentation. Great subject. Many thanks. Looks like the R7 is a must. Great images of wildlife as this genre expands rapidly throughout the world.

  20. @saucybbaka on October 29, 2024 at 9:29 pm

i recently bought an r7 and i‘m thinking which lenses i should get for it, i definitely want a tele zoom. you say the rf 100-400 would be a good choice but wouldn’t that give me an equivalent aperture of 12.8 at the equivalent focal length of 640mm? that sounds unusable to me

  21. @insightvideo6136 on October 29, 2024 at 9:30 pm

One of the best wildlife photography channels out there. Thanks Duade!

    So much underated 1d mk4 ….
That is sweet spot aps-H sensor ,,
    So super sweet spot .,,
    It was 6000 dolars .,
    Brutal camera

  24. @R0BBS on October 29, 2024 at 9:32 pm

Long time photography fan but never had budget or skills to really get into it. Would you consider the Sony RX10 MK4 based on spec and compare it with not having to carry a big bag around? Great video from Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

  25. @kullatul on October 29, 2024 at 9:32 pm

What beautifully you present this video. Well done, sir

  26. @martingibbons8021 on October 29, 2024 at 9:32 pm

    Great video

  27. @sassy4u788 on October 29, 2024 at 9:34 pm

Would the sigma 150-600 work for Nikon D7200? I know you said it works with Nikon and I’ve read the information in the link for the lens it says Nikon F and just not sure if that means compatible or or not with the D7200.

  28. @puturro on October 29, 2024 at 9:35 pm

Great stuff! I have a Canon 600D (EF-S) and I’m trying to get a hold of a Zoom lens 70-200 that could be used also if I ever step up to a full frame body. Which ones should I look for and do I need to put an adapter of some kind? thanks.

  29. @JenHamon on October 29, 2024 at 9:35 pm

It’s great to see even low MP images can look great on a big APS-C sensor.

  30. @localepoxyflooringwollongo5141 on October 29, 2024 at 9:36 pm

    Your passion is infectious.

  31. @vntrgirl on October 29, 2024 at 9:36 pm

Okay…I’m toast on information overload 😊. I have a M50 mark II..i had a canon 55-250mm II. I enjoyed that lens for my backyard bird shots. I always had to shoot on manual because the AF system just couldn’t track, so i learned to get some great shots manually and without a lot of reach. My used lens recently broke, leaving me to ponder what to do. My budget is about $400.00 usd for a replacement lens, or if i trade in the m50, my budget is about $800.00 usd for a new camera and lens. Does anyone have thoughts cause im in analysis paralysis!!!!!!!!!!

  32. @AmateurPhotographer12 on October 29, 2024 at 9:39 pm

My first camera is a Nikon d3200 with 300mm nikkor lens I was ten years old during the pandemic, today I am 13 years old I have my main setup is a Nikon d800 with 200-500mm lens and my secondary main camera is a lumix g9 with 100-400mm lens.

    Thank you for the photos.

  35. @Nighthawk-5 on October 29, 2024 at 9:40 pm

I have my little Nikon B500, I carry it with me every day. I like photography and I also like birds of prey, so why not combine the two.

I still got no idea all the parts of a camera, like the difference between full frame and mirrorless cameras, or how to use ISO, but it seems I’m learning quite quickly, and now that I have a job (im16) im looking to getting better camera to use

I like quality, though the little b500 has 16MP, looking to get something just a bit more, but I’m primarily looking to get a ranged lens. Because that 40x optical zoom, seems to run out pretty quickly

and that osprey I commonly take pictures of, is probably confused on why im like 30ft from him trying to get a good photo

  36. @bentleydawg8573 on October 29, 2024 at 9:42 pm

Excellent video. Thanks! I just subscribed. 🙂
Years ago I picked up a used Canon 7D. Last year it started giving me trouble. So I went to KEH and picked up a used 7D Mk II. I liked the familiarity. I’ve taken some great shots with it. Not in the budget category I purchased a new EF 100-400 IS II. Still learning how to use it and get the best images. This video has encouraged be to get out there and practice. 😊

  39. @SaitoGray on October 29, 2024 at 9:45 pm

Crazy how the market is vastly different in Europe.
The price here are absolutely crazy. Can’t find the canon EF400 lens for less than 1000€.

No good Fotos with canon RF 800/ f11? Is that objektive not good?

  43. @LinoCrafts on October 29, 2024 at 9:54 pm

    2024 list coming?

  44. @radlrambo4994 on October 29, 2024 at 9:55 pm

It is absolutely great what gear you can get these days for next to no money, When I started venturing into wildlife photography it was 2009, the 7D was relatively new and costed a fortune. DSLRs were the hype of the time and people were selling 20 year old L Lenses were almost as expensive as new ones and many of the budget lenses did not exist back then. I tried venturing into micro four thirds, because many people claimed that would give you double the reach of FF lenses – but in reality the 55-200 was equivalent to a 100-400 f/11 and the image quality fell apart at ISO 1600 already. I tried a few other options but came to the conclusion that mFT was not a good wildlife platform. I then borrowed a 300mm f4 L IS and a 1,4 TC from a friend and was amazed. I hoped that Canon would update the 400mm f5.6 with IS, but that never happened. The 300 was the better choice I think, because you can use IS quite often with sitting animals which allow a slow shutter speed. I really liked the integrated hood which made handling a lot easier – I didn’t like that the IS was only good for 2 stops. Today I would probably fork out the money for a used R6 or R7 with the 100-400, which is supposedly good. But nowadays where you can get a 300 f2.8 L IS for sometimes a lot less than $2.000 I would be tempted to buy that one with a 5DIII (bought one recently for 350€), which would crack the $2.000 range by only a small margin – or when considering the Tk you might need.

What an incredibly wonderful video. You got me.

  46. @martinax-po8rj on October 29, 2024 at 9:56 pm

Is there any difference between CANON EF 75-300MM F/4-5.6 III and II version?

  47. @SIP100Ka on October 29, 2024 at 9:58 pm

I got my first camera on christmas and took some amazing pictures of birds, I would love to send you one or two pictures that I took couple days after I got my camera

Canon EOS 2000d w/75-300 kit lens, no stabilisation and it works well ^^ I want to get a nice 600mm lens for closer shots

  48. @enteplays3662 on October 29, 2024 at 9:59 pm

Not gonna lie, I kinda expected to see the Nikon D5600 here. Great camera for what it costs even though the burst with 5 pictures/second could be a bit faster

  49. @Shrimpy1020 on October 29, 2024 at 9:59 pm

Thanks for the info! Im looking for a new camera and lens for burd photography. 😊 I preferably want a mirrorless, but doesn’t have to be 😅

  50. @xXN0SK1LLZXx on October 29, 2024 at 10:01 pm

Awesome video. Ive had a very rough few years and i lost interest with the outdoors. Locked myself away. And im just getting back on my feet and was looking for a camera. And found one after alot of research. The lumix g7. Based off reviews an photographers i know they say they always seem to go back and pick theres up. Which really pushed me to this one. It seems like a great deal. 399 British pounds. Brand new in box never used. Cant wait to get out there again
