Having learned with film and no money was a great way to learn camera settings. LOL. Great content Dave, I’m always excited to see your videos show up.
Always learn something new! Thanks
Best tutorials on the internet. Thank you so much for sharing so freely, Dave.
Wow, wow and WOW! This is SO AWESOME! Heading to Greenland in 2 days and these tips are amazing. Thank you so much for taking the time and effort for us ameture photographers to step up our game. I can’t thank you enough. Can’t wait to review the downloads you offered. Hitting the LIKE and subscribing! Glad YouTube directed me to your video.
One of the best landscape photographers that I have ever seen. Move over Ansel!
what a great transformation through your editing Dave!
A gear recommendation question: for filters, do you get the size of your largest lens (e.g., 82mm for your 14-30mm f/4) or do you get one size up (e.g., 95mm) and use a step-up ring to avoid vignetting at the widest angles (but then perhaps you can’t use a lens hood – but I don’t see one on your set up)? Also, what do you think of magnetic filters vs screw-on?
Great tips. Amazing image transformation from start to finish. Is good to know how your final image will look right from the field. Some new images in the latest work gallery soon? 🙂
Really great analysis. Will try this consciously the next time I have these conditions.
Just started learning IR photography, flips the rules about light on their head!
Nice tips👍
Nicely Done. Alwarys appreciate your work!
Your right, this is a unique video. Master Class. Thank You, well done!
Nice blend of OK, I knew that to I have to try that. Especially I noted that you pay attention to the whole image rather than just use leading lines and bright spots to "lead the viewer’s eye," which seems to me manipulative. I will give using the rule of third boxes as zones a try. This video was well worthwhile.
I always enjoy the thoroughness of your videos, and this one especially so. A lot to learn here and appreciate the share! Thanks
Apparently and Obviously there is Ansel and Morrow.
Many Many props!!!!!!
Excellent Video Dave, thanks Neil

Hello Ansel!
You had me till i saw that camera “strap”
Kidding, i subbed anyway!
Hi Dave from Adelaide South Australia…..Always intelligent video tutorials….thankyou.
Enjoyed this Dave and very much relatable to how I approach my black and white fine art architecture work using Gestalt’s theory incorporating the Figure and Ground principle to create Presence and Depth in my image
i will watch it tomorrow, need a sleep first 😀 the intro screen already looks nice, because i love snow and mountains 😀 and to snowboard and making photos
That color wheel will really come in handy – I didn’t have it activated until you mentioned it in this video…thanks for the heads up!
Great tutorial
nice video, good tips
Awesome! Thanks Dave. Two questions: When you do selective sharpening, is there a primary technique that you prefer to use. Also, I have been following you for a long time, but I have not been notified of new videos. Did you go dark for a bit or I have I missed some things over the past few months? Thanks for the video, I appreciate all of the high quality thought and info. No BS just helpful information every time.
Cool Guy! Cool Video!
Great explanation of lighting the scene and keeping one’s eye involved in the photo!
Best landscape photographer on YouTube. 🫡 Enjoy hearing your process and techniques to a scene/shot. I fully grasp the histogram after watching one of your videos. Lol Also one of the most serious photographers who goes through the unbeaten path to get the shot. An adventure every video.
Yea! A new Dave Morrow video. Always good content.
Outstanding work Dave. Thank you for your hard work.
Man I am so here any time you publish a video !!! ❤❤❤
Awesome. Thanks Dave
Just putting this video on repeat in my studio.
Thanks for this, I felt I learned a lot from you’re reasoning for doing bnw based on color theory, never thought of it like that before. And a beautiful photo you came away with too
Thanks. Good Video. Helpful!
So thorough, so complete, so helpful Dave, thank you so much 🙏
Super vid! You mentioned a color wheel you take with you. Do you have a link or some info on it? Thanks!
Thank you for your willngness to give the PDFs free for us.
I can see why this video was picked up by media outlets to view in my smart news feed.
Thank you so much for this excellent video! I love B&W photography, and your videos and work inspire me. Using "transform" to de-squish wide-angle shots is life-changing! Thanks for that tip especially 🙂
Dave, you are so amazing and inspiring!! Thank you.
Also what tripod are you using and is it just for the low level use?
Super helpfull Dave ❤
