Why shoot B&W, because all the old greats did š Ansel Adams and The Zone System.
I am a color Photographer, but I know that I am somewhat Color Blindā with Reds, Greens & Browns, so I am interested in B&W Photography to possibly find a place I can be Content with, knowing I do not have to āGuessā what colors I am Photographing. Please reply with your opinions and Suggestions, Ideas, etc. Thank you.
Great tips, yes, agree on all of the 5 points. I do however use point number 4 quiet a lot, shoot in color and then decide if I want final image in color or B&W in post processing. It is giving me an opportunity to see and reflect on whether the image will stand out more in one or the other or even sometimes a bit desaturated, but not completely without color, hence 3rd choice of final image.
Great video. Personally shoot both. Camera set to BW in order to look better at light and composition. RAW file is in color so I can do whatever I want in post.
Great explanations, appreciate the helpš
Great information. Today’s digital photographer does not have to make a choice between black and white films such as Kodak, Agfa-Gevaert, Fujifilm, Ilford, etc.
good tips.
