Beautiful range!!!
Hi. Do you know some similar place in Ontario, Cnada ? I love this kind of shooting.
does anyone here know of smallbore matches in southern California
Enjoyed the video. Nicely made and a beautiful range!
In Mexico they used to shoot at live animals at cattle ranches just for entertainment at social gathering of the rich land owners before the sport started in earnest.
Pity this sport is NOT in the UK any more since the last 25 or 30 years….
I did this way back in South Africa and visit the shooting range every time I go there….
Closest to me who does this sport is France or Italy I think, or maybe Italy…
Nice video, well made! Great job to all involved!
"Rules" for shooting seems really dumb to me. But to each their own.
I sure wish my hold was half as good as the person shooting those rams!
Nice video, in Sonoran Desert you need gloves to pick up the high power silhouettes, but first kick the silhouettes to see if it is a rattle snake hiden from the sun, under the silhouette
Good fun. I used to shoot what was called Falling plate in the UK at 300 yards when a teenager (1970’s)- open sights only. We also used balloons which were a right challenge in slightly windy days.
Great video! Well done!
I’ve shot here before… Such a beautiful range.
Can unvaccinated people shoot matches in Canada?
There are many types of Silhouette Shooting. I’ve done Lever Action Silhouette shooting. It is a lot of fun, and I encourage anyone to look for competitions in their area. Unlike marksmanship competition, which I have also done, it requires far less equipment. For Arizona I refer you to the Arizona State Rifle and Pistol Association.
Love it❤
any one who shoots this well can shoot!
Great video! That looks like such fun. And such a beautiful range. Aloha!
Hi Guys, What a great and informative video, I really found it interesting, the range looks great, what a beautiful place to shoot. Thanks so much for putting it up. 🙂
A good primer on Silhouette. You guys need to add air rifle too! Also, I’m quite surprised that your range does not require eye protection while shooting.
This is great footage
Kudos, excellent production quality
Looks fun
Fkn metallic silhlohouts kill them all.
Шотландец?
Well done. I’ll recommend that all our potential new shooters view this video. Thanks!
I shot in the Canadian Silhouette Nationals quite awhile ago at your place. Fabulous range. Great people. Thank you.
I would love to try that. Looks like a lot of fun.
Terrific video and a beautiful range! Really appreciate the skill level of those experienced shooters and their willingness to help out folks new to the sport.
Thank you.
Too bad Canida is a dictator and will not allow you to even own a gun anymore!
I don’t see the standard 50/100/150/200m berms for pistol silhouette but the range looks like a great place for 500m pistol competitions. Have y’all done any of that?
Very nice shooting range!!! Looks like a lot of fun! The range I shoot at has swing steel targets at 300 & 567yds. It’s a lot of fun smacking steel, but silhouette shooting would bring it to a new level!!! Hope to see more videos!!!!!!!!
Thanks for sharing… now where’s my ticket that’s a challenge I’d love to try
About thirty years ago when I lived in Prince George BC, I was active in small-bore metallic silhouette. I still have my Anschutz Model 64MS rifle. It’s an absolute tack driver. This shooting sport is a hoot and the people are (usually) very friendly and helpful to newcomers. I highly recommend it.
Shot a lot of silhouette with handguns. .22’s and big bore both. Used a XP100 chambered in 7-08.
Great video! As a gun owner in Mexico it was a surprise to know about silhouette shooting origins. Please, give us more videos like this!
Man alive, this looks fun!
Maybe one day I’ll get to try this, sure hope so!
Thank you.
Those smallbore targets look like 3/8 scale rimfire pistol targets. We used to fun shoot these with rimfire rifle, offhand. Back in my day this was not a sanctioned event. The sanctioned rimfire standing (offhand) rifle targets were friggin 1/5 scale at either 25 or 40, depending on the geography of your range, then 50 for pigs and either 75 or 77 depending on your topography and finally 100 for Rams. Here in the US, you were allowed to hold sanctioned events in either meters or yards, didn’t matter, they went in your score book as the same, you were classified as unclassified for your first ever try, then as an A, AA, AA or a Master shooter as you improved. Your score only competed against others in your own class, BUT if your score jumped you two classes you were immediately booted up to avoid "sandbagging"😁 Back in the eighties & early nineties we were one of the few ranges that allowed rimfire rifle shooters to have a go on the 3/8 scale pistol targets during sanctioned matches. (Your score didn’t "count") We had very wide facilities and no issues with semi autos spitting brass on other competitors as they had to use the far right firing lanes. Plus we had a courteous bunch. If you think you’re an excellent offhand shooter, print out some official 1/5 scale targets, I think you can get them in official scale from the NRA website, set them at 40, 50, 75ish and 100 yards or meters and prepare to learn a little humility. They are especially difficult if they are level with your waist or a little higher. It’s much easier to shoot offhand if you’re aiming downward with the target around ankle height, try it, you’ll see what I mean.
Curious what gun range is this, nice setup!
And Long shots 🙂
Love this game in its high power variant. It’s just hard to find a place to practice near me.
Молодцы! И организаторы и стрелки! Очень приятно смотреть! Привет из России!
That dude was wearing a skirt. Pleated.
Showed me a decent lady in the thumbnail then proceed to play a video with only fat old dudes. Very disappointed!
Very well made video!
