I need light, because without it my canvas is black,
I need form, because with light and no form my canvas is white.
With light and form, I’m in business. Shadows, corners of buildings, silhouettes.
Texture is a bonus. With texture I can show your face.
Colour is often a distraction. I’ve not decided about colour and impressionism.
All photograpghy is abstract…it’s just pigment on flat surface. Or pixels. Is it representational or not is the more proper question imo.
Thank you for the informative vid. You made your case of both photographic styles.
