How to do a Creative Fairytale Photoshoot on a Budget
How to do a Creative Fairytale Photoshoot on a Budget
In this video I’m going to show you how to do a creative fairytale photoshoot on a budget! You can easily do simple but effective photoshoots in this way.

Lockdown finally lifted so I went with a model to my local park for a fairytale portrait shoot. I bought the dress and headdress online, together they cost around £35. I bought the berry garlands from The Range when they had their Christmas garlands and each cost about £7 (I bought two). I also bought 3m organza fabric from Fabric Land and this cost about £5. So overall I think I spent about £54 putting this look together. I didn’t buy all this for this shoot, I already had the berry garlands and the fabric, so if you gradually acquire things for shoots, then it will be easier and cheaper over time to style your themes as you’ll already have things you can reuse like I do!
We went to my local park and shot in a couple of different locations. Make use of what you have! Maybe overall a location isn’t too pretty but all you need is one pretty bush, choose your camera angle carefully and you can make something really interesting.
I took these fairytale portraits using my Canon 5D III and my Canon 85mm 1.2 lens. I used an off-camera Canon Speedlite for lighting as well as the natural light.
