Great video, one question where is the best place to expose from, the darkest or brightest part of image

  2. @matamuraii7952 on October 29, 2024 at 9:10 pm

Never ever ever ever try to shoot sunset or sunrise without a very dark ND filter if you are using a mirrorless camera. If not, you will burn your sensor. I learned it from my mistake when I bought my first mirrorless.

Great video. Before watching, I tried to take shots of the red sun from my room. I didn’t try those settings but the sunset settings that came with the Nikon DLR, and some other presets. The sun came out light orange every time. Are there any quick fixes? (Hopefully no more red suns since they are associated with the fires!)

yeah, this is not for beginners. You don’t even explain what apperture and other technical stuff means. I had no idea what you said. I guess I need to learn what all those technical terms mean first

This video is definitely not for beginners lol. She is using $5,000+ of equipment. Like sheeew… but I’m just A amateur with hobby shoot with 7Ti cannon. Sick video. My next camera will be a Sony.

“Sunsets – they happen day in and day out.” They don’t usually happen “day in” though. 😁

You said sunsets happen "day in day out". No, actually they don’t. Sunsets happen day out. Day in is a sunrise. Good photo tips.

What ND filter should I purchase? I have a Nikon d3400 with lens 18-55mm and 70-300mm

  27. @phillipharris2831 on October 29, 2024 at 9:46 pm

How do you do it safely brand new camera
I have to replace the sensor from mere seconds thats not dramatic took couple quick shots testing some lighting and now i have some dead pixels and discoloration

  28. @boblaker46 on October 29, 2024 at 9:47 pm

Thank you for your teaching comments and support. I just bought a brand new Canon EOS 4000 D it came with telephoto a zoom and the regular lens for white shots. I think it came with some special lens to put on there to protect the camera as well in the picture from getting Sun glare It’s pretty nice camera to start out with. I appreciate all the tips I can get thank you Bobby from California.

  29. @4everIcegurl on October 29, 2024 at 9:47 pm

Awesome video I definitely want to try this on my next vacation thank you!

  30. @kristiepowers2555 on October 29, 2024 at 9:52 pm

That’s crazy your camera shows you what your photo would look like while you’re shooting. My camera doesn’t do that. It only shows me the picture afterwards.

  31. @realtalk9330 on October 29, 2024 at 9:59 pm

Does anyone recommend a cheaper camera thats good for capturing sunsets?

  32. @cv3nda367 on October 29, 2024 at 10:01 pm

is the sun dangerous to the camera sensor ? will the ND filter make it safet to film/shoot the sunsets ?

  33. @untouchable360x on October 29, 2024 at 10:03 pm
